About

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) research enterprise is dynamic and growing, with an important impact on evidence-based research and policy making in a full range of fields. Departments and Research Centers offer cutting edge approaches whether you are interested in Neuroergonomics, New Media, Climate Change Communication, Crime Policy, or any of the other relevant disciplines found in this college.

Our outstanding faculty members are leaders in their disciplines and show ever-increasing success in collaborative research, reaching across the college and university as well as advancing knowledge both nationally and internationally. Recognition for their extraordinary achievements is attested by Nobel Prizes, Pulitzer Prizes, McArthur Fellowships, Guggenheim Fellowships, the Stockholm Prize in Criminology, and many additional prestigious awards. Faculty Scholarship is acknowledged and supported by awards including Fulbright, ACLS, National Endowment for the Humanities and more. Hundreds of books, book chapters, and journal articles have resulted from their scholarship.
